I’ve Registered! Now What Happens?
What’s the Board doing?
Immediately after the last registration date, your Region Board begins the process of putting the teams together for the upcoming season. Recruiting and training parent volunteers as coaches and referees.
When do the coaches get their teams?
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters in mid August.
When do the players get called?
The coaches will contact the players usually in mid-August for divisions 6U and above. The 5U’s will be notified of the parent’s meeting in September. They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location.
It’s after Aug 31st and we have not been contacted. What should I do?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice until the week the season starts. Also some coaches may be out of town. If your child has not been called by August 31st, you may email: [email protected].
What else does my child need?
The registration fee includes: complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) supplemental accident insurance, team and individual pictures.
In addition, you need to obtain shoes, shin guards (mandatory), a soccer ball (size depends on age) and a water bottle.
How often are practices and games?
Practices are held during the week for divisions 7U and above (days/times to be determined by your child’s coach). 5U/6U practice on game day. Games will be on Saturdays. The season opens on the first Saturday after Labor Day. Games and practices will be held at various fields throughout the city. See our web page for a list of our fields. www.ayso41.org

Please Remember…
AYSO is a volunteer, parent-based organization established to provide a positive experience for our children. Go to the games. Learn the rules. And above all, be tolerant of the children’s volunteer coaches and referees.
Volunteers Needed!
AYSO can only function with an army of parent volunteers. This program is what you, the parent, make of it. We need every parent to pitch in, help out and make this a great soccer experience for your child. Contact our Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate at [email protected]
