***NEW*** Safe Haven Training for Coaches

Region 41 will be hosting a SAFE HAVEN Training for Coaches and Assistant Coaches on Wednesday, August 5th from 6:30 to 9:30pm at the Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church.

The Church is located at: 30071 Ivy Glenn Dr.
Just west of the Laguna Niguel Post Office on the same side of the street. We will meet in the Education Building on your RH side as you come from the parking lot.

Please Register for the class on eAYSO
Once you have logged into the system click the "VOLUNTEER TAB" on the RH side of the screen, this will take you to the main Volunteer Screen. At the bottom of the page is the button "SIGN UP FOR A CLASS" which will take you to a new screen. Select ROSTER NUMBER 200902803, Course Number 7901- Safe Haven for Coaches and add youself as a participant.

Note: If you are NOT able to "sign up for a course" back at the main Volunteer Screen it probably means that you have not re-registered as a volunteer for the 2009 season. If you are unable to register online please RSVP to: Dave Flower.

Dinner will be provided; please REGISTER ONLINE or RSVP to help us plan for the event.

All Region 41 COACHES & ASSISTANT COACHES must complete SAFE HAVEN TRAINING one time (not annually) and have it registered in eAYSO to be awarded a team!

***NEW*** U6 / U8 & U10 Coaches Training Class

Our next coaches training session for the Fall season will be on Saturday, July 11th from 8:00 to 1:00 at the YMCA at Crown Valley Regional Park.

We will start inside the YMCA (signs will be posted) at 8:00 and then proceed to the Crown Valley Lower Field for training after the classroom portion is complete. Please bring a pen or pencil, size 3 ball for U6/U8 or size 4 ball for U10, cleats or athletic shoes (no sandals please). We recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for the field portion of the class. Please bring water or Gatorade/Powerade etc. to stay properly hydrated.

For the Fall 2009 Season ALL Region 41 Coaches and Assistant Coaches must be certified with the age appropriate Coaches Badge AND Safe Haven for Coaches (different from referees) to be awarded a team.

About VIP (Special Needs Players)

AYSO VIP Program provides a quality soccer experience for children - and adults - whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. VIP teams may include those who are

Blind or visually impaired
Amputees or conditions that impair mobility
Mentally or emotionally challenged
Autistic
Downs Syndrome
Cerebral Palsy

These children are Very Important Players (VIP) in AYSO. We recognize that all children need to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. The VIP program offers that acceptance and carries our philosophy of Everyone Plays® to new heights - giving everyone a chance to play. Refund Form

Should you need to withdraw a player from AYSO, you may request a refund via the form found on the website. Please see the left hand menu, choose Registration, click on the link for a refund form. Print the form and mail it to the address on the form. Requests postmarked by July 1, 2009 will be eligible for a full refund, which will be mailed after 9/30/2009. The refund policy is printed on the receipt you received at registration. AYSO is a 501(c)(3) corporation; please consult your tax advisor regarding the eligibility of donations.
